1st day - Saturday Accra.
From 12.00 hr. checking in at the joining hotel.

2nd day - Sunday
Touring the city of Accra and then to Aburi.

After the first briefing, we will make a round-trip through the old and the new parts of Accra, visiting many interesting places, like the
• Independence Square (Accra's official ceremonial grounds)
• Captain Thomas Sankara Circle
• Flag Staff House
• Parliament House
• the Sports Stadium
• Kaneshie Market and many more.

A visit to the colourful Makola market, Accra's biggest traditional open market: - It is a delight to walk between the stalls with multicoloured materials, medicated herbs and tropical fruits, loudly recommended by the market women. They are called mammies, for their impressive appearance.

A tour to the Arts Centre for National Culture and the Accra main craft bazaar where a wide range of souvenirs, like woodcrafts, kente, textiles, jewellery etc. can be bought.

Last but not least is a visit to the Dr. Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum, where the first president of Ghana has been laid to rest.

In the afternoon we will visit Aburi; well-known for its healthy climate and the over hundred year old botanical gardens. The afternoon offers you the opportunity to walk between the beautiful, variable flowers, plants and trees.

3rd day - Monday
Fort Amsterdam, Cape Coast Castle, Cape Coast.

Along the beautiful coastal road to the historic Cape Coast Castle, we will make a stop over to visit a village called Abanzi for an excursion to Fort Amsterdam and to see the fishermen at the beach.

A conducted tour in the Cape Coast Castle and a visit to Cape Coast town will end this day's program.

4th day - Tuesday
Kakum National Park, Elmina Castle, Cape Coast.

We shall make an early morning excursion to the Kakum National Park. Together with a guide we will walk the 2 kilometer long Kuntan trail, straight through the tropical forest with nature’s medicinal plants and herbs.
The optional, very adventurous and exciting walk on the canopy walkway is recommended for those who do not fear heights.

In the afternoon you will have a conducted tour through the Elmina Castle. This castle is the earliest known European magnificent building on the coast of Africa, sub of the Sahara, built by the Portuguese in 1482. The castle was later used as the main auction market and garrison for the slave trade.

Of special interest are the slave dungeons, the auction market and the Portuguese Church.

A visit to the Elmina fish market ends this day’s program.

5th day - Wednesday
Kumasi.

After breakfast, we shall travel to the inland to the capital of the Ashanti Region. The Ashantis form the biggest population group in Ghana. For centuries they were the rulers in the region because of their well organized society.

In the afternoon you will visit the "Manhyia Palace". In the "Manhyia Palace", court cases still take place according to the century’s old customs where the king has the last word.

6th day - Thursday
A visit to the surrounding villages of Kumasi, and a cultural afternoon.

After an excursion to the neighboring craft villages of Kumasi, namely, Pankrono, Ahwiaa and Ntonso, we shall continue to Adanwomaase Kente village, where you will be welcomed by the Kente chief with traditional music and dance for a cultural afternoon, with a demonstration of Kente weaving.

Interested persons can take part in their traditional cooking. You may also visit a peasant farm to see how palm wine is tapped if you so wish.

7th day - Friday
Kumasi city tour

To start with, we shall make a city tour through Kumasi, after which we a visit to the Kejetia central market, the biggest market in West Africa. In the afternoon you are free to explore other parts of the on your own.

Places of interest are the war museum with many old weapons, or the beautiful Lake Bosumtwi.

8th day - Saturday
Mole National Park.

After an early breakfast, we depart for our long drive partly through rough terrain for a visit to the largest Nature Park in Ghana, Mole National Park. Viewing en route the savannah grassland, fascinating architecture sparsely dotted along the way. You will also observe the contrast in culture and life style between the southern and the northern part of Ghana.

We shall stop at Larabanga to admire the old mosque and the magic stone, and then drive on to the Mole National Park, where we can watch the wildlife from a terrace of the motel as plenty animals come to the compound to drink and bath in the lake.

9th day - Sunday
Mole National Park.
In the early hours of the morning, you will have the chance to go on foot together with a very experience guide in search of the elephants in the wild.

The afternoon is free for your relaxation.

10th day - Monday
Kintampo waterfalls, Techiman.

We shall embark on a trip to Techiman, where we will arrive in the beginning of the afternoon and visit the Kintampo waterfalls.

Techiman is important by its strategic position as a place where nearly all the traffic from north to south and east to west, and the other way round, passes. On the market you will find very nice pottery.

In the rest of the afternoon you can explore the surroundings or relax in the restaurant on the rooftop of the hotel.

11th day - Tuesday
Boabeng Fiema Monkey Sanctuary and Grottos, Kumasi.

Once upon a time, a greater part of Ghana was covered with tropical rain forest. One of the remaining parts of this tropical rain forest is the national park "Boabeng Fiema Monkey Sanctuary", where about 14 monkey colonies live and you will love to see the monkeys.

Before we return to Kumasi, we shall visit the impressive grottos near Techiman.

12th day - Wednesday
Ada Foah

On this day, you will travel back to the coastal area where the River Volta meets the sea at Ada Foah. The trip goes via Nkawkaw, Koforidua, Somanya, Afienya, Dawenya to Ada Foah, a nice trip through a verity of landscapes.

Manet Paradise Beach Resort is located on the riverbanks of the Volta. Here, you have several possibilities to spend the afternoon, from relaxing at the poolside to going on the river with one of the jet skis etc.

13th day - Thursday
Ada Foah, Accra.

We will start today's program with a boat trip on the river Volta. We shall make stopovers on the several islands on the River, to see among others how Apeteshi, the local gin is distilled.

Crocodile Island is yet another place to visit. The Island is not known to be a habitat for crocodiles but for the many birds that have chosen the island to breed. Crocodiles have long disappeared from this island.

After a lazy afternoon at the resort we will bring you back to Accra.

14th day - Friday
Accra.

This will be the last day in Accra and you will have plenty time to shop and sightsee. The city has many possibilities, including the beautiful Labadi Beach.
